5.Shane Abel has several statuses.. lets see what they say..

  1. Plenty of us haven't been happy with Bush for the past eight years, but we NEVER took it this far...you DO see peoples true colors now... it's disappointing but this is an eye opener to those who thought racism was no more...

  4. Its crazy to see how far, or shall I say, how far we HAVEN'T come in the last 60 years. Racism is still Alive, and the ignorance of certain individuals is mind boggling.......Instead of this being a victory of all American's, its being over shadowed by the biggitry that unfortuanately exists today.

  8. Its hilarious how they can be so wild and ignorant in their approach to president-elect Barack Obama when whites (caucasians or anglo saxons or whatever they would like to be referred to as) have the majority in 46 out of the 50 states with exceptions in Hawaii, New Mexico, California, and Texas.
If they seriously object that much then I hope they know Mexico is just below us and Canada is up north and both can be reached via automobile.

  9. i'm truly at a loss of words...i knew racism was still alive but this is appauling and very disappointing. but regardless of what those idiots have to say our president is still a black man...get over it!

  10. Now that they know what the black community has been able to produce they'll be more apprehensive with our presence in American society. We need to really raise ourselves up. The whole nigga spectrum has to dissolve and we need to push ourselves harder than we ever have. Barack has opened the biggest door in the history of America but sadly they're trying to make sure that no other will make it in. Too damn bad America but you better realize for damn sure that Barack is here and we are only going up. Change is here whether you like it or not.

  11. yea i agree and if those people were listening to the news OBAMA is not muslim and hes not fully black! He is simply a American who has a plan to change this world for everybodi no matter what race, social status, or working class!

  12. That really made me mad I am so serious. I really don't understand why racism is still in existance!! It makes absolutely no sense to me.... especially when young people are racist. I can more so understand the older generations being racist, and even then, its still not a valid excuse.

Alot of people have been extremely dissatisfied with Bush as president, but it was a very rare occasion for someone to disrespect him, as a person or a president. I think it would be nice if people looked at President-elect Barak Obama as the successful, intellegent person that he is, instead of some nickname given to people of the past.

  13. Wow i honestly almost cried reading this stuff. I will never understand why people act this way. As an African American I am so hurt and confused. People are always quick to say let the past be the past as far as slavery and racism but have they?? My grandma went to a segregated school so how long has it been really?? I am so proud of my people for voting and NOT HOLDING A GRUDGE on white people for the absolute DEVELISH things they did to my people. We even took it a step further to show them how to run their own country for the next 8 years...because he will get re-elected if i have anything to do with it. And he didn't get my vote because of his skin tone but because of his values its just an extra perk he's black lol... so CONGRATS TO ALL MY PEOPLE WE DID IT!!

  15. Wow...I've seen it all. These people are classless and have no shame. It's so sad too because they learned that at home, so imagine what their parents are saying. If they are willing to put that on their statuses for millions of people to see, just think about what they're saying behind closed doors. Welp, can't be too bummed about it though. Our president is STILL Black, and we have a lot of work to do in our country. Let's move forward and not focus on the negativity.

  16. wow considering the fact that im mixed and i have cousins who actually look like that i feel like maybe i should call them and check and see what and if they're saying something about me behind my back...
this is an absolute travesty and it saddens me to see that in a country where it has been proven that anything is possible, a country that is driven by the "American Dream" we still have such hatred and rampant bigotry. What's even worse is i know BLACK people who are probably saying the same thing and denouncing their very own...
WE as a people still have alot of growing to do.

  17. This was awful. It's a shame that so many young people feel this way. They have no class... and these kind of thing will definitely come back to haunt them.

  18. what's crazy about this is even though they feel the way they do they are still going to get to benifit off Barack Obama being president...

I think they should decline any stimulus checks they receive... and discounted health care that results from Obama legislation, They can continue paying high taxes after we get tax breaks,

and one more thing.. there was absolutely no way McCain could have won.. no republican would have won after the mess Bush did. People Want CHANGE.. and Obama is clearly the one that's able to give it. What hurt McCain even more was Sarah Palin.. COME ONE NOW!!! I wouldnt want her any where near the white house.. She doesnt represent anyone i know

  19. racism is still alive and its ashame...But i feel that many Blk ppl went overboard with their statuses as well even though it wasnt as bad as the ones above...we voted for change so we as a ppl have to change too

    ReplyDelete
  20. as a non-black and non-black person, i can only give my point of view. it is sad to say that racism clouds the views of so many americans. however, racism is real and does exist in our everyday lives...believe me i have been on every side of racism. but i do agree w/the last person in a sense that racism is often twofold. the reason why some ppl are racist is based on their encounters w/that race. for example, if the only asian ppl you ever meet own convenience stores, do nails, and speak their native language...then you might categorize all asians as falling into those categories. but that is not an excuse. wikipedia defines racism as "belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race"

so to those who posted those statuses, shame on them but we are not the judge....we can only use their ignorance as a reminder that nothing worthwhile comes easily and without trials and tribulations....and as for those who misrepresented obama supporters by stating that you voted for obama b/c he's black....shame on you for giving the enemy more ammo.

i hope those who voted for mccain realize that he is not going to be our president, and if you want america to prosper...you need to learn to pray for the man that IS your president. and for those who voted for obama...i hope you voted for barack for his content of his character and not the color of his skin.

    bo$$lady for president.

  21. Wow this is ridiculous and im glad you put these people on blast...in a way im glad this happened because you think you kow a person and then something as monumental as american havin a black president happens and you start to see people's real colors. its all just pure Ignorance and it pisses me off. but i bet when all the haters start to reap the benefits Obama will provide they woont be so ignorant and ungrateful...

  22. As much i as i hate this... i love it even more.
if no ones hating on you... you must be doing something wrong. These ppl are getting openly racist. They must be Perturbed. haha

  23. Hmmm... why am I not shocked??? Maybe because I live in TN and it is common to see and hear this type of foolishness from both old and young caucasians... just the other day the KKK<<< YES it STILL exists has a rally here in Memphis! It's crazy and really extremely pathetic to see that there are still many white ppl who still feel that way. I love OBAMA, I love being BLACK, and most of all I love the ignorant Caucasians who have the racist tendencies, because after all my God says to love everyone and I'm assuming that means them too!
